For as long as I can remember I have always loved wildlife and watercolours, so I suppose it was inevitable that after I started watercolour classes in 1987, it would eventually lead to me doing paintings which included some form of wildlife. I find myself attracted to the small animals and birds and this is reflected in my work, which tends to feature these subjects, as well as some of the endangered species.

Most of my work is of Australian fauna, but several recent trips to the USA and Canada have opened up a whole new range of subjects for me to paint.

Over the years, I have travelled to the USA to partake in many wildlife art workshops featuring great wildlife artists from around the world including Robert Bateman (Canada), John Seerey-Lester (UK) Kobus Moller (South Africa), Greg Beecham (USA), Carl Brenders from Belgium, Adele Earnshaw and Joe Garcia both from the USA and Simon Combes from Kenya. In 2004 I  attended the "Young Guns" wildlife art workshop in Montana, which featured five different wildlife artists, namely John Banovich, Daniel Smith, Matthew Hillier, Terry Isaacs and Paco Young.

Images of my work have appeared in a number of Victorian RSPCA Calendars.

In 2005 and 2006 I was fortunate enough to have paintings selected for exhibition and sale in the  prestigious Arts for the Parks art show in Wyoming.

My paintings now hang in both public and private collections in Australia and in private collections in many overseas countries.

Over the years I have been lucky enough to win many prizes and awards. They are listed below.

I was honoured to be selected into the State Museum of New York's "Focus on Nature" biannual exhibition, which begins in April 2010.
